Irish Armwrestling Federation

“Irish Armwrestling Federation would like to thank Kate for providing fantastic medical service at Ireland Classic Armwrestling on 28th Feb 2015. Due to unforseen issue with two members of public testing their manhood on the table, while organisers were away from it, Kate’s service was required. She looked after the man with fractured bone in a very proffessional way and provided first aid rapidly which is why we will use her services in the future. We would also like to recommend Kate to any organisers of MMA,weight lifting competitions or any other sports events as a most proffessional medical service. Keep up the good work!”

Robert Carry, Head Coach of "Jai Sua Muay Thai"

“I hired Kate Michlic and the EventMed team to provide medical services at a martial arts event I hosted in June 2015. The Dublin Junior Muay Thai Open was the largest junior Thaiboxing event ever held in Ireland with 120 fighters from over 20 clubs from the UK and Ireland taking part. The services the EventMed team had to provide began with carrying out medical checks on the 120 juniors to make sure they were cleared fit to enter the ring. The crew did a flawless job recording the details of each fighter, checking them individually and clearing them one by one. This was a task made more difficult by the fact that they were all children and most were fighting for the first time but and Kate and the team did a great job of putting them at ease. They also got through the task of clearing 120 kids quickly and efficiantly which ultimately allowed us to wrap up the competition on schedule. The next phase of the job involved staying at ring side and providing care to those who picked up injuries. Muay Thai is a full contact sport so minor injuries are common in bouts. EventMed had to deal with everything from nose bleeds and minor concussions to a broken hand and a serious groin injury which required hospitalisation. I watched their work close up when one of my own students suffered an injury and the team were calm, professional, reassuring and very knowledgable. This was our first event and we considered a number of options when planning what type of medical provision we would provide at the show. However, I am extremely happy with the work done by EventMed and I will certainly be calling on them again for future events. It’s also worth pointing out that while the standard of care was five star, the price charged was one of the most reasonable I’ve come across. Many thanks for your great work.”
